Well, boys and girls, can you believe how much snow we have gotten this school year? I cannot remember this much snow in our town since I moved here, and that was back in 2004. We had 5-6 inches just before Christmas break which allowed us to go home two hours early. Some of that snow was still on the ground a week later, or longer. Now we have just experienced another 8-9 inches, and this is our 3rd day out of school.
I enjoyed watching the snow fall on Friday night and Saturday. I tried to take my son Quinn out to play on Saturday but the snow was up to his knees and he couldn't walk in it. On Sunday when I took him out to play, he said "OH, Wow!", when he saw all the snow.
My best snow memory happened when I was in 4th grade. That year was 1988 and my dad said we got about 18 inches of snow over several days. School was out for over a week. I lived out in the country and on one side of our street was a strip of pine trees that went all the way down the street. Beyond the trees was a big field, which was really part of a local baseball field. Behind 2nd base and center field, the land sloped downward, creating a wonderful sledding hill. My dad, my cousin Jeff and I went sledding several days. The snow was so high (and I was so short) that my dad or Jeff (who was in high school) had to carry me up the hill. We would slide down and sometimes crash into piles of snow. Sometimes we would end up all the way to the trees. I only wish I had pictures of this day...I only have the pictures in my head.
So now I would like to know....what is your best snow memory? It can be from this recent snow, or it could be from a while back. I know some of you have only seen snow once or twice in your whole life. I want to hear about a snow day memory that you will remember when you are my age!

My favorite snow memory was when me and my friend sled down a hill onto a ramp we made
I had fun worked alot to build a snowman. I even shoveld the driveway and got some money for it. I had fun with my sister too my brother was gone.
i do not have one but i might have one when i was little and i was about four or five and we went sleiding all day and night long and the snow was really deep it was about three feet. it was like a snow storm. devin

i had a good time with my friend and me in the snow because we went sledding and we would throw snowballs at each other and we built a snowman and we had marshmallows in front of the fire and watched a movie and then i spent the night over there
my family came to winston and we went to fridays and i played in the snow with brookelyn and got snow in here hair.
My snow memory is when I was in Raligh.I was in school and it snowed so fast I was stuck inside the school.My friend's mom drove me and my bother home.
the first time i saw snow is when i was 4 years old. when we went out side the snow went up to my knees just like quinn.And we also made snow angels. it was very fun.
I did not do not much in the snow. I was in my houes most of the time waching moves that bought.I drank a hot choclate.

My favorite time in the snow was a few days before winter break.I got out of school early and we went to my friends house walking while it was snowing.We went to the woods in the backyard.Later the next day I went sled racing with my dad and then played in with my pets.

on saterday all my friends came out so we decidid to creat a war we were six people so we devided into two groups we picked our battle feild and started our fist annul snow war. i was the last one with my other freind in he was like two years bigger than me we took like thirteen minuts when he hit me with a snowball and the other team won. we hade a rematch and we won that time it was a awsome snow day.
Erick my snow was fun and my nephew and I had tried to make a snow man and well let's say it did not come out good so i kick it down caues we throu snow.Balls at my mom,brothers,and my dad we had alot of fun and i hope it snow oone more time caues it is very very fun but the school takes away springbrack and summer days.

I had the best time of my life when i when sleding. With my best friends. First we hucked the pelican sled to a 60year old sled i suprised it still work it almost broke when we jumped on it but we fixed it. I went sleding and got slug side to side it was awsome we huked another sled to it and when we go half way down we unhucked the last sled it went spining down the hill.
When my dad and me went to New York. It snow about 5-7 inches of snow. Me and him went to central park. The floor look like the color of a piece of white paper. Me and my dad had fun and had the biggest snowball fight ever. Now the best fun I ever had is, spending time with MY ONLY DAD.
