Dear Students,
This week we wrapped up our study of the book, Dear Mr. Henshaw. We've been working with this book since the second week of school, and we have talked about the many different things that happened in the book. I think it is very interesting that after reading a book about a boy writing in his diary, we are beginning a diary of our own. Our class blog will be a type of diary or journal that we can use to record the events of our year together.
My favorite part of the book was when we realized Leigh had finally made a friend. I know what it is like to move to a new place and how hard it can be to make friends sometimes. Some of you can also relate to this feeling. I remember how good it felt to finally have someone to spend time with and talk to. I could remember those feelings as we read this part of the book.
Now, I would like to know....what was YOUR favorite part of Dear Mr. Henshaw?

My nme is Miajia. Mr.Henshaw was a great book, but my favorite part was that when Leigh made the burglar alarm. I was hoping that he would find out who the theif was and the theif hopfuly wouldn't mess with his lunch again and Leigh could finally eat his good cheese cack and other good foods. Oh by the way Leigh had to make a burglar alarm for his lunch only because someone was stealing his lunch.
My name is Angela.My favorite part in dear Mr.Henshaw is when Leigh's dad found Bandit. Early in the book Leigh's dad lost Bandit in a bilzzard. Leigh's dad found bandit because the man who found Bandit gave it to Leigh's dad.Leigh's dad got bandit when the man who found Bandit was in the same wiegh line.DAd called out on the CB radio to see if anyone anyone found Bandit.
My name is devin and my favoirte part is when leigh was in second grade when he write his frist letter to mr.henshaw and i liked it because leigh wrote, dear mr.henshaw, my teacher read your book about the the dog to our class. we licked it. your friend leigh bott.
My name is Enri and my favoite part of the book is when Liegh try to open his lunchbag at lunch. Becuase he put to much duck tape. He has a lunch promblem becuase someone keeps stealing his lunch. He brings such good foods, becuase mom has a job at weddings she gets the leftovers.
my favorite part in Dear Ms.Henshaw is when Leighs mom and dad made up silly songs one of the song was "Driving with a heavy load I saw a shoe upon the road squashed like a toad" and the other song was "I saw a shoe wet with dew no highway 2. It made me blue. What well I do". I liked this songs becouse they were all funny.
My name is Brian and my favorite part of the book was when dad came to legihs house and he brought bandit.I liked this because leigh hasn't seen dad in a long time!I also liked this because dad lost bandit but finaly found him.
Myy name is Walter and my favorite part was when Liegh was building the alarm for his lunchbox becaus someone was stealing his lunch.Thepicture looked cool with the batteries and wires.

My favorite part on Dear Mr.Henshaw
was when Leigh made his burglar alarm for his lunch box. I like that part because he made it himself with some help from books at the library. When Leigh opened his lunch box in the cafeteria, everyone was looking at his and even the teachers, across the hall came out of their room to see what was going on.Even the principal came. Everyone wanted lunch boxs with burglar alarms too.
my name is Amiayah. My favorite part of the book Mr.Henshaw is when Leigh build the alarm for his lunch box.When someone starts to steal his lunch. His mom and dad are divorced. And Bonnie Leighs mom got him and Bill Leighs dad got bandit the dog.One day when Bill was at the truck stop he left the door open . Bandit was in the truck and he hoped out and ran away. Bill found Bandit by asking on his cb radio I wonder how leigh felt to see dad and Bandit showed up at his house when he was on his way back from the oh by way Bill owns a rig

MY NAME IS CHABELY. MY FAVORITE PART OF DEAR MRS.HENSHAW IS WHEN LEIGH"S DAD WAS AT LEIGHS HOUSE WITH BANDIT. BECAUSE HE RELY LOOKED LIKE HE WANED HIS DOG LIKE SO MUCH AND THAT HIS WAS ASKING PEOPLE ON HIS CB RADIO. AND THAT WAS LIKE HE LOVED HIS SON.
