Yesterday was definitely not your typical Friday.
For starters, we had a 2-Hour Delay due to a very light dusting of snow. Amazing, since it isn't even Thanksgiving! That right there made for a different kind of day. We still managed to get a lot of work done. I am so proud of how my students are able to "go with the flow" when our schedule gets out of the routine.
We also had a special assembly for 1st Quarter Awards. Mrs. Spencer talked to the students about the importance of being in school each day and doing your best work. She encouraged those who did not receive an award to try to earn one next time.
I would like to say a special congratulations to all the students in our class who received an award!

I am so proud of each one of you who received an award. I hope to see each one of you on this list again. For those who did not get an award this time, I hope to see your name mentioned in January!!

Wow, what a great job on your blog. It looks great! It was interesting to read all of your posts. And all the awards. Someone is really working hard. It is great news to hear that when sometimes we adults just hear negative. I am very proud of you and proud of your teacher for starting you guys on this project. Keep up the good work.
Mrs. Staton and class,
What did you think of the awards assembly? What did you like about it? How can we make the next one better?
Mrs. Spencer
